Tren de la Libertad II

Be amazed by the Imbabura Province, the most diverse province in Ecuador, from Otavalo City to the indigenous natives of Ecuador to Salinas, where the Afro-Ecuadorian culture and history is still alive in its streets. You will enjoy a journey through history, music, gastronomy, crafts and the incredible landscapes of northern Ecuador.
Imbabura Textile Factory Museum

In Atuntaqui, you can visit this old textile factory that operated between 1927 and 1982, and today has become a museum keeping the history and struggle of the workers in the country within. You can find textile machines over 90 years old, among sculptures and innovation workshops that stand out among the original factory facilities, perfectly preserved.
Yachay Interpretive Center

"The city of knowledge". Besides being the first intensive research university in Ecuador, Yachay is the first planned city in the country. We will visit his Interpretive Center where we will learn more about the area.
Salt Museum or Salinas Ethnographic Hall

We will visit the Salt Museum, which gathers the history of the African ancestors of the Salinas area. Here are exhibited various elements such as guitars, sieves, bass drums, clay pots, costume jewelry, among others. Through large photographs that are exhibited in the room, you can learn more about the history of the first African slaves who arrived and settled in this valley.
Salinas de Bolívar

Its name derives from the saltwater mines, the oldest tourist attraction in the sector. This rural parish of the Ecuadorian highlands stands out from other towns in the area for its growing economic development, livestock and dairy products factories.

Return to Quito

We start to head back to the city of Quito, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m., to disembark the passengers at the same boarding points.
