Activities during the tour

How this tour begins?

Between 04:00 and 05:00 in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel (inside the urban area of Quito). From that moment, the journey begins in shared transportation to the city of Archidona (the second largest and most populated city in the province of Napo).

Breakfast

At 05:00 am the approximately 3 hours journey to Archidona begins. Upon arrival to our operations centre, here you will have your breakfast, then we keep going to the community called Cando. We will arrive to Cando approximately at 8:45 in the morning.

Safety Talk

In Cando our professional guide will give you all the necessary equipment. Once in the River he will tell you all the commands you should know to enjoy the adventure safely. And finally at 9:15 the Rafting begins!

Rafting and swimming activities

During the rafting you will enjoy the fun waves and the wonderful landscapes of the area. You will see wonderful orchids that bloom on the slopes along the river. At approximately 10:30 we will have a break of 30 minutes, so you could walk or swim across the calm river called Iluculín.

Lunch and visit to the Kichwa community of Shandia

Between 12:00 and 13:00 we will arrive to the Kichwa community of Shandia. There we will enjoy the delicious lunch accompanied by fruit and drinks to regain strength. We will also have the opportunity to visit and play in this community.

Afterwards, from 13:00 to 15:00 the adventure in the boat continues. After approximately 5 hours of rafting, we end up in Puerto Napo where our transport will be waiting for us to start the return journey.

Return to Quito

At 17:00 we will return to the city of Quito in shared service.

What to bring with you?

We recommend you to bring shoes (difficult to remove); bathing suit, trousers, shorts, leggings and shirts (fast drying preferably). In addition, you must bring an extra set of dry clothes for the return journey. Do not forget your insect repellent and sunscreen.
